Default Anyone used carbon fiber rod instead of music wire with Robostruts?

Seems to be a great alternative...and I've read a few posts regarding carbon fiber but haven't found a post with robostruts.

Thanks,

Bob I.

carbon rod wouldn't be well suited to this application IMO. robostruts use setscrews to hold them in place. as soon as you tighten the setscrews onto the carbon rod, it will begin to delaminate and all the structural strength will go down the drain.. Plus with carbon being so stiff, anything other than a perfect landing will probably snap the carbon rod, compared to music wire which will flex a bit.
