soldering gun/foam cutter

I have a weller 140w/100w soldering gun. Want to use it just to get a rough shape on a foam block. Suggestions on wire size and lenght? I think copper is best? Did use the search, but couldn't find what I needed .

I just used clothes hanger wire with mine. It fit in the end clamps perfect and was stiff enought to keep a good shape. However, I was only cutting out retract block areas in a foam wing.

I use 1/16" music wire to cutout retract slots and lightening holes. Probably longest wire is about 4 inches of cutting length.

For rough shaping an electric carving knife works too.
