Fiberglassing foam/abachi wing – one or two times Epoxy?

Hi there

I’m fiberglassing the foam/abachi wing on a turbine jet with 25 gram/m2 glass + epoxy. The first layer epoxy is now dry, and I’m wondering if I really need to give it a epoxy layer more, if I just should start spraying 2K filler on it? I don’t want it heavier than necessary, and I defiantly don’t want to use more hours of labor than I need. But what is necessary?

When I glass wings, I get the cloth saturated and then with a paper towel blot as much resin out as I can. When the first layer is cured, I lightly sand with 220 grit, clean well and then again with a paper towel wet with resin, wipe a thin layer of resin on. The resin fills the weave without the shrinkage you would get with primer and is actually lighter as primers contain clay. After this I am usually ready for topcoats after one medium coat of primer and guide coat.
