A MATTER OF CONCERN

Hi

I read on one of these forums about a video on composite construction called "Building Hollow Composite Structures" sold at a website called Soaring Stuff.com for $24.95 including shipping....i placed an order on 18th march 2004 and had my credit card charged but i am still waiting for my order to be delivered to this day ...i have sent numrous emails and left messages on their answering machine to no avail.

Did anyone else fell for this too?Secondly just beware of doing business with these crooks..

Thanks

Salman

This may put your mind at ease a little. I ordered this tape sometime last year It took about three months before it arrived. In fact I had forgotten all about it. Then it showed up. The construction descriptions move along at about the same pace as it took to get here. I found it semi-useful.

RE: A MATTER OF CONCERN

I ordered the video a couple of years ago, received it in just a few days, and have been completely happy with it.

Based on my recommendation, several of my friends ordered it too, and all received theirs within a couple of weeks. Before calling someone "crooks" on a public forum, I'd do a little more investigating. It's been 30 days so far on your order, which is longer than most of us would like, but I don't think it necessarily means that you're being cheated.

I have just called them myself, and left a message regarding this problem, in the hope that they'll communicate a little better with whoever has a problem.

RE: A MATTER OF CONCERN

Sorry but when i order a product i expect it within a 7-10 time frame. unless i order something that says out of stock or gives me a longer time frame(ex. may take up to 30 days to ship) then i can wait but if not after 10 days I'm on the phone wanting to know where my package is. and if my card has been charged then it better be in the mail period.

Sorry when i pay for something i dont expect to wait till I've forgotten about it to receive it.

When some body takes my money and does not deliver as promised and does not even have the decency to respond to my inquires via email or phone to let me know the hell happened to my order am i not suppose to call these people crooks and warn others about them...and what is this investigation thing suppose to mean do i need to call the FBI or CIA now...i dont owe these crooks anything they owe me and i am pretty sure to a lot of other people too

RE: A MATTER OF CONCERN

I've never dealt with those folks, but I have read several cases where people had similar experiences to yours. For example: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_15...tm.htm#1522838

I also read several cases where the consumer was happy with the prompt service.

Possibly they have a bad computer or intermittent Internet access. Possibly their answering machine doesn't work. Possibly they had a personal emergency and who knows what has happened.

However, I agree with you that your account should not have been billed prior to shipment, barring unforeseen circumstances or other agreements.

Good luck,
-David
