Cox Black Widow
Hi Everyone not sure if this is the correct forum to ask these question.
I havethree questions.
1.The filler tube at the top of the tank is loose, in other words it rotates and floats up and down is this anything I should be concerned about is there a fix
2. The piston seems to have a bit of slop in it when I rotate the crank back and forth at TDC, what to do.
3. Anyone know where I can get replacemant cylinder and piston for a pre 1996 BW, I would like to replace on both engines
Thanks

The piston/conrod ball need to be reset, you can find spares and everything you need for Cox engines here:
http://coxengines.ca/home.php
They also carry the resetting tool for .049/.051 as well as replacement sleeve/piston assembly.

Clean very well the inside of the tank. Alcohol, maybe some MEK, you need to get it CLEAN. Use a tiny bit of JB weld on the inside of the tank around your loose tank tube, only on the through the tank side. That will hold your tube. I think you can buy a new tank assy from the above link.
