Default Fuel Tank Setup

Hello-

I tried to start my Brodak .049 engine tonight, but I couldn't get it to turn over. I am wondering if I had my fuel tank setup correctly. I connected my tank and engine with the small fuel tubing, and I filled my tank from the top until fuel came out the bottom line. Which line do I need to plug? Do I plug the top or bottom line on the fuel tank?

It didn't seem like my engine was getting enough fuel.

Thanks,

Bjfrankl

Default RE: Fuel Tank Setup

You don't plug either line.  The top and bottom lines are necessary for when you fly inverted.  Air that enters the tank to replace the fuel that is used up takes the path of least resistance, which would be the bottom vent no matter which way the tank is oriented.
