Default 1/2 A CL Scale Event at AMA NATS - Good.

The Feb. issue of AMA's Model Aviation, has a notice of a special event for half A Scale CL models. Sounds great and very much less than the big-boys' stuff.

Bill Boss, Control-Line Scale, pages 135 and 136. See you there.

Yeah, I agree!
I've been flying R/C more of late. This kind of flying could bring me back to C/L. There is something about a simple to build, and simple to fly scale airplane that would have a lot of appeal.

Scratch building wouldn't be too hard and just think of all of the varied rubber powered free flight scale kits that could be beefed up to take an .049.

Now If I could just find someone to launch for me at the local R/C club I might dabble in this event as well.

This event might be a good enough reason to scratch build and enter Rich Porter's 1/2A "RIDICULOUS".?

That's one design where hiring a lazer cutter shouldn't be considered "cheating" on the term "scratch built".

Just as soon as I'm done building this scale model of the Eiffel Tower out of match sticks, I'll get right on it.

Chris...
They are easy to avoid: You see them kind of leaning forward, arms hanging down low and they have a grunt: "KEEL, KEEL, KEEL, KEEL!" I think that is their lahguage for "Kill, Kill....."
