RE: ive converted my controll line plane!!
It's just not enough information to even make a scientific wild guess. Dimensions, weight, wing area, airfoil and thickness? How about some photos?

Hi luke,
I wish you all the luck in the world but I'm guessing you are not going to be satisfed with the result. Most control line planes (once their built as control line planes) do not make good conversions to rc. As kd eluded to you have a few critical things to concider. What's the wing span? How much does it weigh? Rough wing loading numbers for a .049 P51 are in the 11.5 to 16 oz. sq. ft. range. Additionaly the Mustang is a handfull to fly and doesn't make a good first RC plane. You do not want to fly a P51 without ailerons. If you have to go with a 2 channel set up aileron /elavator is the way to go. All you will do with R/E is distroy the plane. Also have you checked the CG. If it's off in a Mustang you will quickly be able to tell by the splintering effect mother earth has on the thing as it smacks the ground. Give us some more info so we can help you out. I'd hate to see you lose the plane.
