    carb needed

So last sunday I had a bad crash, had a dead stick(didn,t realise it),then after hitting some rock It landed in water. In all this the needle of my engine broke off,now I need either a new needle or a new carb. The engine which I am using is an O.S MAX SF (40 ci),and it is quiet old around 8-10 years.Does anyone know where can I find it?Some links would be extremely helpful.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

    Hello IndianRC,

I have parts from an old carburator that might have come from an old OS 40SF, but I am not sure. Does your needle valve look like this?

The carburator is a little rusty but the needle valve looks in good shape. The letters molded on to the front of the carburator say "AA".

    Will this do?

That's an Air bleed cab,, would have come from a FP,, not a SF,, SF carbs have a low end needle

I'm pretty sure you want a 4D carb for the 40-46sf
You're so smart,, you figured out how to read this!! Or maybe ya just got lucky??

The O.S. 40 SF uses the 4D carb. It uses the O.S. needle part number 24981959. It's the same as my older 4BK carbs.
