I do not have the story. However, I guess this may be a spectacular low pass requested by the people on the ground to the pilot, who simply wanted to impress them... But he clearly missed its objectives ! Can u see any other explanation ?

LOL, SkyDude! Not even the Force can get Luke outta that mess.

That picture was posted in the humor forum a while back. Nobody knew the story then, either. Awesome picture.

Default Elevators?

Doesn't the elevator(s) look like it's in the down position? Just asking....

Thanks,

Sure does. You can just see the edge of the counterbalance going up. Looks like the flaps are at a fairly steep degree as well.

he may have had engin probs when coming in for landing and he missed the run way the reason for the flaps being down and the elevator control was pushed in by the pilot which caused the elevator to be in that position, but it is a great picture, to bad for the owner

This shot was in a National Geographic magazine years ago. I can't remember all of the details but I think it happened in South America somewhere where they were relying on small planes to get them around to remote regions. The pilot was supposed to be landing on the dirt road but a gust of wind altered his landing pattern to what you see here (something a bit less than optimum, eh?)

)

That's either one BIG Cessna, or a very small truck......if you look closely, it seems to be a bit out of proportion......also there isn't very much damage to the aluminum cowl....but it sure has torn up that heavy STEEL truck.....! Notice the shadowing under the truck, and the rough outline......makes you want to say...mmmmmmmmmm If he was trying to land....that's a pretty steep glide angle.....

That picture has been around for some time and general consensus is it is a very poorly done touch-up in Photo Shop.

the cowls bent ok, just not on top where nothings pushing on it, unlike the truck bonnet. its the engines that done that. the shadows appear to be ok, note the wing strut on the trucks roof. the down elevator is probably from the pilot being thrown forwards, the angle of the plane, from the tail trying to over take the front, kinde like landing in long grass, made of metal
question is... wheres the pic after this where the planes probably upsidedown the other side of the truck?

Maybe this was the last picture in the camera.....?

How bout there isn't one because this is fake......This has been discussed MANY times on other sites and if it was a TRUE picture, I am sure that someone would have validated it by now........

The DEA in action. Notice the "down" elevator, as if the pilot were TRYING to nail the truck. I saw this photo on plane crash pictures.com
