    oil soaked wood

I'm in the process of changing the engine on a CLOUD DANCER 60 that I scratch built in 1993 and I've found that I have a lot of oil soaked wood in the front of the fuselage. Does anybody have any tricks to clean up the wood short of a complete rebuild. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is a spray spot cleaner called Kr 2 that does a pretty good job. You might also try corn starch, just spread it over the oil soaked portions and let is sit for a couple of days.

Try K2R spot remover. Spray on, let dry thoroughly, then brush off. Will probably need several attempts.

Thanks a lot guys! I hadn't heard about the k2r before. I'll give it a try. I read somewhere that acetone works, but that stuff is really flammable.
