RE: H9 Extra Inverted landing
What was really cool about that landing is that it looks like the rudder dug a pretty deep hole in the ground before breaking off. Maybe we could modify rc planes to plow fields!!!

RE: H9 Extra Inverted landing
the two guys at our field got into a "how low can you go inverted with your u-can-do contest". they went lower and lower and one guy finally hit the ground with his canopy and slid to a stop. all he broke was both blades of the prop.

The trick to the" Rudder touch& go" in an invertedpass is to come in at an angle and at the last possible second put in full down elevator and let the rudder touch with a nose high angle and then fly it away. Of course this don't always work, I should know I've landed inverted more times than I want to remember.

He had it fixed and flying the next weekend. The cowling looks better then the original paint scheme. He made the silver stripe wider and the blue squares as well.

Did the guy laying on the ground with the camera take any pic's? He was certainly close enough! Cool video, glad the plane was fixable.

Yes I got a couple. Wanted to get more but this happened on the first pass. And as for the pilot being good. He's ranked 7th in all of Japan in F3A.

Don't think I'm that good. Just not afraid to do my invertedpass with what I am flying at the time. I have been known to do a "rudder touch" on a maiden flight. Been doing the low inverted pass as my signature manuver since 1975. Can't count the planes I have landed inverted, but then if you want to keep them pretty let them stay at home and only fly what you want to enjoy.[sm=bananahead.gif]

Great attitude! I like to fly inverted as well. My first trainer made its final landing inverted. (at a 45 degree angle, full throttle...hence the signature line)

I love it when invertedpass does his inverted passes! He always sells me his crash for 5 bucks! Keeps me in airplanes!
