Default What horizontal stab>?

well this is my second plane i have done this to. i guess i was going to fast... with to much control surface...was no flutter...(that i saw) ..i have had this plane for a while..(3 0r 4 gallons of fuel through it). had a few *problem take offs recently, probably started all this. when i landed it (yes it flew fine with one side) the other site was broken too!.. was about to bail off!...
i am repairing it now (new horizontal stab) .... thank god for split elevators...i recommend them on everything!. saved more then one plane of mine.

It looks like a Lanier Extreme Stick.

correct on plane type, it is a Lanierâ„¢ Extreme Stick. awesome flying plane...has a few quirks...(like most inexpensive ARFs) but flys great.. is my "non runway" beater type plane.

very good idea.... i may do that. i was thinking of doing the "bird cage" thing with the wire supports.... but the carbon rod idea sounds better thanks!

( i may even have a few carbon rods, left over from broken heli parts)

Lucam.. Italy huh>? i was there a few years ago for the F-1 event.(acually twice, once in marinello and once in monza)..was "different" then i was used to ..
i work on italian cars for a living...why it cought my eye

That looks to me like a #11 was used to trim excess covering off of the stab.. I had very same prob for a while and no longer cut covering on my tail surfaces..

I've had a few flutter. It's more of a sound thing than a site thing. You wont be able to see the ELEV flutter but it should buzz. If the engine is loud maybe your just not hearing it.
