This must be you, because I have taken off in cross wind, tail wind ,horizontal wind , vertical wind, snow wind, rain wind, muddy wind, tall grass wind, you name it my trainer has done it all. And as far as a stall in cross wind I normally just let the plane turn with direction the wind is pushing it and land.

At least your rebuild skills are perfected , nice job .
