All the signs were evident again.
Got to the field , not when I wanted to but I got there . I had to make a few pit stops before getting there. Anyway I got the MAG .28 xl to run nice and sweet. transitions were excellent. The idling was right on the mark. So because I wasn't at the field where I could fly a low winged plane ,I left and went to the other field only to find there was some kind of bazaar going on. (sign 1)
so I had one other place to check and it was free of wanderers. So I set the plane up , filled the tank , and started the engine and wouldn't you know, the engine started acting like it was just taken out of the box. How can an engine get this cold so fast ? [X(] (sign 2) . I let it warm up only to realize it was quite gusty.( sign 3) So all of a sudden I started to hear the beautiful puring of the engine again and I couldn't turn back now. .
While unloading my stuff from my car, a cop pulled up and asked if I was ok (sign 4) I said yes and told him I was getting ready fly . he left and off the bird went nice medium high grass ROG . Once in the air I notice the elevator wasn't responding the way I had it set on the futaba receiver, but I just had to keep flying . In a bank turn the engine died right over some trees and in she went CRASH...........@#^$##^@#$#&$&* is all I could say.
I picked up all of the pieces and realized it may not be worth rebuilding a second time. The replacement fuse is only $40.00 so this is the dilemma .
P.S. pics later and the cop wrote me a ticket for improper parking, can you believe that nut ![>:] all he had to do was tell me I couldn't park where I was parked . Oh well live and learn is the name of the game .

What plane was it?
Today while flying my instructor went deadstick while flying his lt-25 inverted about 30 feet up, and somehow he managed to grease the landing.

Sorry about the plane man. Hopefully woops or timothy thompsoin won't pop in here and yell at ya for flying when you had 4 signs to tell you not fly.

You still have not learned your lesson fiend! Sometime when it rains it pours. As far as the cop writting you a ticket that is just plan lame.[:@] Give cops everywhere a bad name. Hope your luck gets better (it can't get much worse )

Deadeye, woops, timothy thompson , now it's beginning to feel like a family affair. I went over it in my mind all day long and realized I can't change the future. Another thing came to mind which is a statement a preacher said, ' there is no such thing as luck , only GOD's will'
So, after realizing I was going to pay for the Extra 300 .40 but opted not to, being this was my first low winged plane, I feel 100% better. The best thing is, I can always duplicate this plane as a SPAD plane 100 times over and not loose to much money from crashing .
Razguel, I agree I don't ever think I will learn, I was told getting into this hobby was like taking drugs.... a person never knows when to stop, and I have no intention on stopping.
Thanks guys I really appreciate you taking the time to wish me luck on my next attempts.
P.S. I'm happy to see we all can have different opinions , but keep the humor in the threads .

Getting the ticket is adding insult to injury, especially after the cop spoke to you.
Where is your field?
I fly with Atoms in Hillsborough, NJ and Egan in Somerville, NJ. We don't have those problems.

woops , this wasn't as easy as it looks. The length of the fuse increased about 1/2 inch. Also there are alot of gaps. Keep in mind if I could buy a new fuse I would . I loved this little plane from first site and flight.
I am going to attempt to duplicate it using coro. Keeping the weight the same will be the biggest challenge
MikeMc , that's funny dude
DaveB, I fly in a park in millburn. I met a cop there once and I was parked in the same place, and he didn't give me a ticket. But of course he also flew RC airplanes. .

RC-FIEND,
I know how hard it really is. I am ashamed to admit this, but I crashed my salvaged GP Super Sportster eight times making it the ninth rebuild on the same plane.

[X(] If I were you I wouldn't be ashamed, I would be proud you were able to rebuild it that many times.
Alot of RC pilots just throw away a busted planes and buy new ones, but after this experience I'm going to leave that pack. I think I got the fuse straight this time .
How did the wing hold up on the sporter ? I still may ge this plane.
