This pic caused stirr when it was published in a r/c magazine eons ago.... at that time people
argued that r/c aircraft got too big and too heavy, btw too much dangerous, that a 1 hp 10cc engine can cut all your fingers off if it backfires, etc... but strangely nobody talked much about smoking,
driving or eating meat on a daily basis... lol.

Good thing it hit straight on the windshied, I presume the car was parked.
The windshield is cheap to replace as compared to replacing the hood, and
having it repainted.

That picture looks like the sixties.

If you're going to hit a car, the windshield (windscreen) is the least costly. We have had two incidents in our club; the first was a small (.26) plane into the side of a van. Cost: $ 965.00 (US). The second, a .40 into a Toyota Camry. Cost $ 450 (US).
The damage didn't look so bad, but the repair cost is a killer.

That's good to know. I will try to only hit windshields. I'm giving up hoods, doors, roofs, and trunks.

mmmmm..... steak...... (drool, drool)

I wonder if a .40 could kill a cow? (un-intentionally, of course)

I couldn't agree more. There just so happens that there is a cow pasture next to the flying field.

I think it has been tried. It would be great to hear from someone who has tried/saw it tried.

Yeah, it would be great, and I would call the police straight away.

No. I wouldn't do it. But one thing is for sure, you would not kill a cow with a .40, but only cause a lot of pain (imagine your belly hurt by a high revving prop...). Poor cow[&o].
Try to hit crocodiles, caimans, snakes or other cruel animals, not our cows !! They give you milk !!

And the meerkat is WAY too quick for your fingers !

I heard the story of a guy at a field that deadsticked into a cow. The cow didn't move and the airplane was OK. I bet that you wouldn't have had the same result if the motor was still running.

By the way what is a meerkat?

I deadsticked into a goat pasture one time.[&:] No damage from the off site landing till the goats aquired a taste for slimy ultracote[sm=stupid.gif]. My kid hates goats now.

Has anyone tried to fish by hanging a fishing line and hook from their tail and hovering above a lake? It wouldn't be as cruel as trying to kill a crock with a airplane.

Did you guys hear that Eurodisney can't have fireworks anymore ?
Apparently the French Air force saw them and the whole Air force surrendered.

Eraced by me due to overly offensive comments that I don't care to ascribe my name to.
