heh heh - i guess that's why they calkl 'em those ol' thrashers - they're just so well built - and that says alot.
i got a staudacher s300 - a thunder tiger kit.
it just keeps on tickin' and i swear, i've had a fair number of close calls (dumb pilot errors) with it.
maybe it's all that extra lite-ply i put in to strengthen it up cuz the original kit was poorly built.
so what's yur next plane gonna be shanes?

LOL... If I was to put the thing back together, it would weigh double what it did before... It is now property of Waste Management. Except for the tail. It is goig to be put through the wall at the Hobby Town here in West Monroe, La.
The crash also did a number on my G-62[:@]
Dont worry guys, I wont be selling a used G-62 on the for sale page LOL

The battery is in good shape. I did cycle it and everything is ok, load tests fine. I currently have it in another plane(beater) and no problems. Allthough I may just leave that batt in that plane. I have plans to buy another pitts, but for now I will keep flying my Katana and my Laser...

Epoxy may do wonders . . . . but i think you are going to need some duck tape for this one. Not saying that i use it or anything.
If you cant duck it "chuck it"
Sorry for you loss it looked reall nice!

Is it going to fly again. Try using some epoxy to glue the 1000 pieces together.
As they say: "Epoxy does wonders."

That's really a downer. Pitts are my favorie Bipes as well. How do you know the battery failed in flight? I am just curious so it doesnt happen to me. I really would like to have one of those myself someday. Good luck on your next one, Jeff

For those who are thinking of getting the Pitts, I highly reccomend it. The only thing is it lands like a Pitts, but flies like its on rails. 8 point rolls were awesome. As far as the Btt issue, It was fully charged when I checked it after the flight with a load tester. When I lost control of it, there was no response even from the throttle( wide open ). So I assume it was battery failure (maybe came un plugged). Allthough the conections were heat shrinked before the crash....
