Default not so duraplane durastik

I didn’t have a camera at the time, but this is what is left of my durastik. to make a long story short- inverted fly by - full throttle over sized engine - pulled elevator stick down - engine literally 6 inches in the ground. the plane stuck upright in the ground. the straight down impact even bent the alum.

been there with the sturdy birdy, I clipped a tracter coming in for a landing, the durastick was my first non trainer, I was suprised at how much better it flew than the trainer, specially when its breezy.

Larry,

that's exactly what happened. I was very surprised how far it made it into the trees. It was very interesting to watch it arch through the trees and still see it going a ways.

Oh I hear you!!!!

I spent an entire afternoon looking for the wreckage.....got my WORST CASE of Poision Ivy for my trouble...

As soon as that wing seperates...you have a nice slender JAVELIN that just keeps on going ....and going.....

I found my fuse @15-20 YARDS from the wing!!!

Larry
