Funtanas dont fly themselves very well
This happened 2 weeks ago.I lost all radio control about a minute into my first flight of the day and we all watched it dive into about 8 ouside loops each one bigger and faster for what seemed like a long time till it disappeared behind the trees. After looking for an hour I saw it in this field. The engine was about 8-10 feet from the impact crater with wasted pushrod tubes ( poor sa100 [&o] ) still in the cowl attached to what remained of the fire wall.It made a great tail trophy and its already been replaced with the funtana x100

That certainly sucks Railinrob. At least you can smile about it. I tend to get all mopey when I plant a nice plane. Were you able to salvage the engine or any radio gear?

The engine needs new pushrods and pushrod tubes I tossed the rec because I'm sure thats what caused it and all the servos survived as did my pilot who is now in the fx100.
I was smiling because if I got all bummed then I'm in a bad mood AND I lost a .Life too short to sweat the small stuff its only a plane and an arf at that.
