got the 1st crash of 2003 out of the way!!!
Today was a little rough. I knew it had to happen sooner or later.
I started flying heli's in June of 2002 I have gotten pretty good this is the second crash in a heli. First one was a siezed engine and a very unplanned auto hit hard.
I got to the field today my wife and 3 buddies of mine were there. I did a very quick look over my rappy and decided the weather was great for flying. I fired the beast up picked it up into a hover flipped my flight mode switch into V mode and started around the field in the flight pattern. I performed a very nice tumble at one end of the field came back across and started into a loop at the very top something went very very wrong as the nose just kind of fell straight down and I had no more elevator control. The heli went staight in from about 100 ft.
After we found all the parts we started to look the heli over for a mechanical failure ( I refused to belive it was my dumb thumbs ) to my relief we found a pin missing in in the upper end.
anybody want a very slightly used highly modified raptor 30???? :bananahea
I guess it is time to break out the XCELL Pro II

I believe new servo's are in order the heli hit so hard look what it did to the aileron servo,
I think I may rebuild it or just buy a new kit and salvage parts

I envy you for your fast progress. Some people who fly for 10 years don't fly as well as you sound. I just set up a v- curve, but I have not used it.
Good luck repairing it. the raptor is a tuff bird.

well it turns out it was a little worse looking than i really is it will cost under $100 to fix so I should have it in the air agian soon
I have a few spare parts laying around so all I need to buy is the main frame, servo frame, mainshaft, spinle shaft, pitch arm, and a few servo cases
