Default 1/4 scale cub crash

Saturday a member of my club crashed one of his ¼ scale cubs. The plane when it to a thick patch of tall trees we have on our flying site. I saw it going threw the trees and the heard a loud bang. Amazingly the plane went threw a small clear spot in the trees, not much damage came from branches. Most the damage came from the wing hitting a base of a large tree. The only damage we could see was the wing, wing mount and some cabin sticks…

The plane was built from plans so I’m sure he will have no problem making another wing half. It was a beautiful plane and I’m sure we’ll see it fly again real soon.

Here’s some before and after pics…
