Looks like a maiden flight... Walked out to the flight line for take off, and the in the excitement, he forgot to walk back to the box. Course he only got 3/4 of a circuit...

If the gomer in the white shirt had run for himself, instead of trying to pull his friend to safety(right into the line of fire), it would have ripped the gear out maybe and been ok... wow...

Oh brother. Well at least there were no serious injuries. That was a nice B-25 Mitchell. What a waste! I would have paid good money for that one. Better luck next time.

The right engine was dead, that is why the plane did the sudden turn to the right, with a running engine that plane stays pretty true down the runway.
Why those guys were at the end of the runway is beyond me.
Here is the real question, is it repairable?

I love the holier than thou attitude that eveyone gets with videos like this.
I guarantee you that each of you that are talking like you know what you're speaking of have done something equally stupid in your life.
Learn from it, yeah. Act like you're better than them? NO.
Its easy to judge from your computer chair, but we all know that we sometimes don't think things though in the heat of the moment.

Yep the right engine quit in the air, you can hear it die and someone I guess the pilot say Oh! or something like that so I guess he was trying to get it back in. Don't understand why they was at the end of runway or why the pilot could not have got her down safely since he had one engine runing, abit of thottle and rudder control should done the trick.

OK, OK, OK. I have read all and I new this video would not take long to get around. Yes I was there and saw everything. This was at the Prattville, AL big bird fly-in and the B-25 WAS over 5 years old and he has had tons of hours flying it. For whatever reason this morning one of his choke servos was reversed and the engine was not running good. Being it has been a five year trusty plane, he got it started and flew anyway, first mistake. He taxied out and the engine died again and the two men you see went out to start it again. He took off and got 3/4 way around and engine died again. The rest as you see is on video. He had a bruised leg but no bad cuts. It was amazing he did not get chewed up by the prop or killed. He had control of it just fine and set up for a landing, but as you can see, it snapped just before touchdown.

ill fly electric when motors can make the sound of twin gassers...nuthin sounds cooler...imo...plus for bigger birds batteries and the such just cost too darn much.....its a shame about that plane tho...but it could have been worse

wonder why he choose to stay in the middle of the runway and not return to the pilot station after restarting the engine
I guess it's another good reason not to fly with known problem until it is repaired
