Default Funtana Gone- I was in complete control until impact!!

As you can see, my helper, Justin, is holding the remnents of what was a funtana X. The result of a slow high alpha knife edge that was neither high alpha nor high enough in altitude to recover from an unexpected gust. Wings ok, motor ok, electronics ok, landing gear ok, fuse-----OUTTA HERE!!

Add some numbers with arrows pointing to all the components and it could be used as an exploded assembly drawing.

Yep, right here in Greenville, NC, it is a nice field, there are a couple of full size taildraggers and a couple of u-lites that also are hangered at the filed. Owner takes good care of it. Come and fly with us. The clubs name is the North Carolina Space Cowboys.

take care

Just to let you guys know... Those graphite rods that go in the back of the plane to support the horz stab... VERY important!!! Didn't feel like putting them in and half of the stab folded up on me!!! Not easy to fly with no STAB!!! Crashes pretty easy though...

PS Graze love that pic!!!

I to lost a funtana. I was flying inverted low over the runway. When, another plane was having problems. I turned and looked at the plane like a dummy and crashed!![sm=bananahead.gif]. I could not beleive I done that.

I just opened the box on my newly ordered Funtana X and man THAT HURTS to see someone lose a nice plane like that. How long did you have it before the uncontrolled landing? Sorry about the plane![]
