Does any one know how fast a sig kobra will go... a friend of mine had an kobra like acft and was clocked by a police radar gun at 150 mph??? i know this because on the same day i got a whopping 52 mph out of my kadet senior in a dive. are there any hinge issues on the surfaces???

I asked the same question from the speed freak boys on another forum-they calced between 110 to 120 with the right prop for mine? I have an OS 46ax and a 9x7.5 APC turning 16K on the ground. Sure seems like it's faster. The plane is a tail dragger with narrow lite wheels and weighs 3.5lbs.

I had one in the early 90s with a fox 40 and pipe. when i built it i cut the top and bottom of the ribs to make the airfoil thinner and replaced the balsa spars with hardwood. went 135 flying flat with a Graupner prop I believe it was. it was a swept design prop for speed. I ended up stringing it through some trees while doing a slow roll at WOT. destroyed motor, reciever, plane,battery pack,and couple of servos. Made a hell of a noise. was a fun plane though

been a long time getting back to this my friend had a cougar did a little research to find this he had a como 51 in the nose flown on cool pwr 15% nitro... thanks for the input

I saw one clocked at 140mph several year ago. It was Rossi powered and on a pipe.
