He admitted he took off with the cyclic controls locked! I wonder if he drives his car without removing "The Club" from the steering wheel?
Reason: she had "The Club" going between the brake pedal and steering wheel and she forget to take it off.
She starts the car, leaves the clutch and the car starts moving, she tries to steer no steering, because of the club, tries brake, no brake and Dang!
The only thing I don't understand how she got into the car without hitting the club, I do that every morning.

Thanks goliath-RCU for that VIDEO.
I must say thats scary. Imaging how he feel when he lost control. This remind me of my first flight with my ultralight aircraft. its a good thing my instructor was with me.

man, i always miss the good videos!!
whats wrong with trying to take the ole hughey up before the instructor gets there!??. I say he should try again, maybe he knows what he did wrong the first time by now!!..lol
Did you hear about the Cherokee that crashed a few years ago after gaining about 300ft after take off?? NTSB determined there was no fuel in the tanks (except for the 2 or 3 gallons he used to take off.) No word on how far he was planning to fly. (true story)

go to http://www.rob.com/matt/videos/ and clicked on hueghscrashed.wmv i couldn't acess it either so i went to the parent sight and then worked from there. check out some of the other videos too. probably the most destructive one was duel. it had a munch of crashes. everything from ospreys to the new mig super flanker.

As soon as that thing started going all over the place, I would have droped the camera and sought cover. That was a good bunch of videos in spaceclam's link. The wing failure on the twin engine was particularly sad. Ejection wasn't an option for that poor guy.

I was a helicopter instructor pilot in the Army. Retired now. Let me tell you, I saw some dumb/stupid students going thru flight school. I was also ordered on quite a few occasions to do stupid things, mostly flying is crap weather that was suicidal.

Thanks for the reply. bad thing the video doesn't show up. I hope it soon will. You are right to point out the amount of stupidity we humans can be all capable of, specially when flying. I now have only about 100 hours in Private Flying time. Countless hours in R/C, and recently developing interest in learning rotary wing flight. I have had 2 uncles die in plane accidents. One was flying under a Cumulonimbus cloud... the shear got the tail of the plane. The other uncle WITHOUT an instrumen rating, got disoriented in IMC... smacked right onto a volcano. In Guatemala where I live, private aicraft are quite useful, but our hilly terrain and 23 volcanoes, coupled with nasty quick forming thunderstorms make for a lot of stupid errors. All this has taught me to be EXTRA cautious. And I wonder how messed up it must have been to RECEIVE orders you knew where putting you in danger.
