I've read your post a couple times over, and I'm still unsure of what you are trying to say. My best guess is that once a week, someone at your field crashes and now that unfortunate person is you, and you've managed to crash your plane three times. Am I close?

Ed209,
Your New Yawkese is a bit rusty, so please let me render some assistance ...
Raptor has noticed that every time he goes to the field it seems as though some unfortunate soul crashes a plane. He admits that he has contributed to the total number of unservicable airframes, but his main question is; "Is this seemingly high number of crashes normal, or is he just at a bad field?".

This kind of reminds of the latest Brady bunch movie where little Cindy, has the lisp speech problem and the mean neighbor can't understand a thing she is saying. As he keeps asking her to repeat her self he finely gives up and says, Nope can't make anything out of it.

You probably fly at a busy field. Here in L.A. we see at least 3 a day and more on weekends. You can always find scrap balsa in the garbage cans and a walk in the field is like walking through a graveyard for planes.

every freakin day!
i usually badly damage one every time i go flying, i had 2 crashed causeing temporary retirements and thats about it
i once saw a BIG scale model of a piper cub which lost all radio contact. Everyone was silent as we watched this huge piper cub descend from the sky very slowly, it was very graceful and we actually thought it was gonna be ok as the descent angle was only about 3-5 degrees. Alas, it was above a large pond just as it touched down, then the pilot ran as fast as he could to try and retrieve his model before it all got waterlogged, he ran straight in to it, Unfortunatly by the time he got to it, it had sunk to the merky depths as the wing had sepperated upon landing in the pond. Never saw it again
