rc-10gt's are in fact indestructible
i was testing a new engine today and had my body and air cleaner off. i didn't think i would do any harm cause i was just in a parking lot behind my house doing some laps. needless to say i was across the lot going about 3/4 throttle when i let go of the trigger and nothing changed! so now i'm heading across the lot around 30 ready to crap my pants. let me qualify that. parking lot is about 200'x100' there were 3 cars in the middle of the lot and it is ringed on 3 sides by houses and offices. i'm wondering how much damage this will do and how long it will take before my first lawsuit rolls up to my front door. i pull the trigger all the way in to try and improve the situation and all it did was stick at wot. bad bad bad. so because it is going so fast the front wheels are light so i can't turn towards myself. so i slam into the backside of a brick office. i can't see it but all of a sudden the engine note wildly changes to a sick scream. i ran over and found the muffler coupling popped off and that accounted for the noise. i ripped the fuel line from the carb and picked it up.
NOT A SCRATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nothing bent or broken. i couldn't believe it. no damage at all. foud a rock in the carb holding the slide open . must've kicked it up in the lot. learned a lesson. actually 2.
1.) always use the air cleaner.
2.) this parking lot is way too small for this

No, don't go We'll play nice
I like hearing that car, boat, and chopper guys catch air and destroy hundreds of dollars of high tech materials.
Gives me the incentive to stay with airplanes.

i ran full speed with my rc10gt rtr plus into a curb angled at 90 degrees. I also heard a wide open scream and found that the engine moved forward . it seemed tight. i cut it off by pinching the line and it got even louder but then it quit. I was surprised that instead of breakingthe front of the car it just moved the engine. very durable car. BTW, i think we really do need a crash forum in the car section

Hmm, the slightest crash of my 1/8 scale buggy destroys the thing. But I guess thats just because its so darned fast!
Just last weekend I bent a shock after landing funny while practicing for the next race.
I'v rebuilt my front end twice now too, at about $100 a time.
