Classic ground loop, P-40's don't take off like Yak-54's. the Brit swearing at the end was a nice touch LOL.

Despite curses of increasing strength and foulness their craft refused to leave the Earthe, as if these winged beasts had a longing too strong for the embrace of solid matter. So did they maltreat their steeds that aircraft upon aircraft were reduced to piles of balsa and plastic until from the heavens boomed forth a mighty voice that said, with badly concealed mirth,  " N00b! Thou shalt not pull almightily on thine stick afore thine airspeed is sufficient for flight, or be punished swiftly by fearsome stall to flutter harshly on the solid matter."

The above was adapted from the book of N00b by Johan Kylander.

not nearly enough speed on take off, wing stalled, hard to tell but kind of looked a little tail heavy, as soon as it went airborne the tail sagged, and it spun in, to the OP did you follow the instructions for the CG or figure it out for yourself these CMP CG's are notoriously off, there has been many posts on the issue of the CG being too far aft and these planes going in.

I dunno, it sure looked to me like the classic aileron reversal. That is, plane starts turning left and pilot corrects with right aileron, but wait that's really left aileron.

No aerilons reversed, not to tail heavy.

Ha ,pilot error for sure but she did fly well in subsequent flights.

Fault, too much up elevator held, giving the illusion its tail heavy and one wing dropping after, the illusion its reversed aerilons

Correct not enough speed but more importantly to much elevator held up when she departed, which ment the angle of attatck lifted her like a kite however because the wings were not level the wings failed to produce lift. She stalled.

She took off before good ground speed could be achieved.

I'm convinced i've got to watch the tail rise more but it did not help taking off down hill and no headwind.

When the planes upsided the mouth looks like shes smiling back at me.

Its a blackhorse p40 powered by a saito 82 14x6. Its ment for 90. The plane is 9lbs. She does fly.

Its a battle to hold elevator when she departs to stop nosing over, then releasing up elevator so tail rises and then gently pulling up elevator again to unstick her when you have sufficent speed.
