Quick tip for the weak tail on the p 51. I took a piece of .040 carbon rod about 2 inches long, cut a slot for it in the tail sarting from the rudder slot about 1 inch above stab and going forward at about a 20 degree down angle. Then used 2 part epoxy and filled in flush. Tail is now very rigid and can withstand the force of an impact. May need to trim controls a bit or move battery as far forward as possible. This little bit of added weight does make it a little tail heavy. This should be done before any major damage is done to tail to keep it straight.
