DLE 55 rebuild problem!?!?!
 

rebuilt my DLE 55 after it scored the side of the piston and cyl and messed up the ring. so I bought a new cyl, piston, gaskets and bowman ring.

cleaned everything up, assembled it...

started right up... after the 2nd tank of gas when i landed it sounded funny. checked it all over... seemed fine....

flew a couple minute on the 3rd tank and i could hear it running funny. so I landed... then noticed a little bind or something goofy as it was going through the compression stroke..

pulled the motor apart and this is what I found....

any ideas? ever seen this?

Looks like during the rebuild something got left in the engine.

Tore the whole motor apart looks like one of the needle bearings in the crank failed
