Just bought this and i love it. It is a next generation from the SX10is. It has so many features i do not know where to start with this camera. I am only use to the point and shoots but i think i'll have alot fun with this. I love the 20x super zoom and image stabalization. It make an amateur like me look decent. Here are i few pics i took of a fire near our house today.

You can send that air tanker jet to NSW Australia if you want. We are on fire too.[:@] I saw that jet dumping the red stuff on the news over here and it is simply awesome.

While the LINK shown below is to a paper written with the Sony H series of cameras in mind...it can be valuable to anyone with an Ultra Zoom camera of any brand. Hope you read through it.

Thanks Rich, nice site. it will take awhile to read through all the info.

Unfortunately the reduced quality pictures on RCU don't do them justice. I have a new 20" widescreen at home and they are superb on it. The clarity is great and colors very vibrant.

It also shoots 720p HD video. I have yet to explore that part. That was the only reason the ol ball and chain let me buy it. She wanted something to shoot video with. We have a grandson on the way. Aargh!
