If you use Firefox as your browser there is an add in called DownloadHelper. It will save videos from many locations to a folder you select on your hard drive.
Another program called Converthelper then converts the FLV file to AVI automatically.
All of these programs are free.
The converter will convert to many formats, but WMV may not be one of them
