Lately, more peole are uploadng videos on You Tube, Vimeo and the such in HD but my computer won't play them. Is there a program or something that I need to view them?
Computer idiot here so please be gentle and make it in easy layman's terms.

There should be button on YouTube to select the HD version. If that does not work, or you get an error message, you may need to upgrade your version of Flash. Go to adobe.com and get the latest version of the Flash Player.

It takes forever if not at all for them to load. I've let my 'puter run for a long time waiting to see a video on Vimeo as some are only in HD.
I use updated the Flash player so now I've got to test it.

From a tech stand point those are 2 very different things.....

either they load or don't....
(the long time is another issue.....)

if they never ever load and error out.... could be player, connection, etc,. etc.

if they load, but takes a long time, could be connection, drivers, player, basic computer specs, etc. etc.

I've got a buddies video playing right now from You Tube. In the HD mode it gives me an error message but plays fine otherwise.

I've noticed the HD quality is just barely better, if at all, than the regular. Is that normal or do i need to update my flash player?

I took care of the problem, I bought a new computer!
Well, I kind of had to as the other one went south Sunday.
