Default Jett 1.5" spinner

Im looking at replacing the 1.5" Tru-Turn spinners with a Jett 1.5" on my 21 size pylon models because the Jett profile shape works a bit better.
- will the Jett backplate accomodate a 1/4 x 28 tpi crankshaft end?
- is there a typical insert ring that allows different (smaller) crank diameters?
- does the locknut/washer come with the spinner set?
- does one spec the locknut thread at the time of ordering or is it even available in different flavours?
- what is the approx weight?

Thx

The Jett spinners are designed for Jett engines (also available for Nelson shafts). They do not mount using the threaded shaft (like a tru-turn). They replace the prop drive, and engage on the drive collet just as the prop drive does. In this way the spinner backplate becomes an integral part of the engine.

Each spinner includes all of the hardware.

I will have to check on the weight ..... but they end up lighter or equal to a tru-turn equivalent.

What engines are you running? If they are collet mounted drives it might be worth asking if Dub can cut the backplate to fit the locking collet on your engine. [email protected]

Thanks for the info. I understand now, the Jett spinner is machined with the same integral washer/spinner backplate like Q40/Q500 engines. The Novarossi (and other 21's we race) is the typical drive washer that fits over a tapered collet. Yes, Ill have to contact Dub with dimesnions & inquire.

Is a puller required to remove the Jett drive washer? I haven't tried to remove the prop drive yet but I need a 2.25" Spinner for a 60LX.

ptxman - what are you racing with the Novarossi .21's? Are you using full pipes like the Australians do?

Just wondering, sounds fun.

Nope.... it should pop right off. Usually does.

If it gets stuck used the handle of a screwdriver, and just quickly hit it on the prop-drive surface of the drive. Same goes for removing the integral spinner too.
