Default Turbo-Jett pressure fitting.

Hi,

I have a 1.20 sized Turbo-Jett fitted to my Webra .91 and i've struck a problem where

a. the pressure tap is very close to the cooling fins making the silicon tube rub the engine

and

b. the pressure tap is right in the path of the throttle pushrod.

I've tried various combinations of bends in the pushrod to avoid rubbing the pressure tap but invariably the pushrod flexes or twists.

If i could move the pressure tap 1/2" across and 1/2" down it would be in a much better location.

Can you please take a look at the picture and tell me if it is safe to drill where i have marked it?

Also, i don't have a 6-32 tap here but i do have an 8-32. It would be cheaper for me to buy an 8-32 pressure fitting than it would be to buy a 6-32 drill and tap set.

What effect would a larger pressure fitting have?

Default RE: Turbo-Jett pressure fitting.

Larger pressure fitting is not an issue...

However, relocation is an issue. The muffler is not hollow inside. Existing pressure fitting location is at one of the higher pressure locations.

Let me check on this, and see if I can suggest an alternate location.

Sorry for the delay

Bob
