3 way valve with Jett tank

I just learning about the Jett bubbleless fuel tanks as I want to try one. Can a 3-way valve be used to fill the tank using the Jett Fueler?

Hi,

Thanks for writing......

Interesting valve. That one probably would be ok to use with the fuel system. As long as it does not leak under suction or pressure you are ok.

I suggest that most folks avoid the poppet-type fill valves, since they have sometimes caused issues. I have used those in the past with some success, but I have also has issues too.

The best way to use the bubble-jett tank is to avoid any additional connections other than perhaps putting a joiner or fuel filler in-line going to the engine. This image shows how I did it on my Edge. Just a quick in-out setup at the cowl with a joiner in the middle.

The one shown is sold by Central Hobbies, they've got a couple different types of them.

When you say joiner do you mean a “T” fitting with a fuel dot or just a double barb fitting so the tubing can be separated more easily?

in-line double - not a T

You can not evauate the tank with a T-fitting - it will try to draw air from the engine side too (unless you somehow clamp off that branch of the fuel system)
