Charging 2 series connected 6S packs with 2 Hyperion chargers?
Hi,
I'm wondering if two Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC can be used to charge two 6Spacks that are series connected. If the packs are soldered together in series (as a 12S pack), can they be charged at the same time, using two chargers?
WIll there be some problems? Is this a safe way to charge the packs?
Would it make a difference if I use 230V mains power or a lead-acid battery to power the two EOS chargers?
I'm wondering if the negative cable coming out of the EOS0606i is grounded to mains ground... If it is, then the lower pack would be short connected through the ground wire of the upper charger.
Now, I understand it's dangerous to try something not included in the manual, but I would like to know your opinions and some explanation on why it would be a bad thing, and what would really happen.
