Default 20C 2000mAh 3s1p 11.1V - Help Charging?

I have just got into electric flight and with the aircraft I bought came two batteries:

AirPower 20C Range 2000mAh 3s1p 11.1V

I am not sure how to charge these, I have a dedicated LiPo charger and a balancer, the charger is set up manually and requires a variety of settings most of which I understand.

Its the charge rate I want to get right, I set it at 2.0Ah and it took almost overnight to charge. I wouldn't mind a slightly faster turn-around, any ideas?

2.0 ah is the capacity of the pack. A rate of current is expressed as amps and could have been 2 amps? If so then by definition it shall deliver 2000 mah in 1 hr. If it took overnight then maybe it was really set to .2 amps (200 ma) of current.

A lot of people like to use the 1 hr charge and for your pack would be 2 amps.

Yep as guver stated, it sounds like you charged at .2 amps instead of 2.0 amps.

And leaving a pack charge overnight/unattended isn't a good thing to do with a lipo.

If something goes south on you, you won't know until it's too late.

It was charged at 2.0 alright, double checked. It was also passed through a balancer, I'm wondering if that's the problem, charged again without the balance and the job was done in 1 hour and 11 minutes, though the battery checker showed 88%. I also use a power supply, a 200w device that is clearly up to the job according to the instructions.

I'm wondering if the batteries are duff. I charged one of my shockie batteries on the same system and they were done on time and full charged. I'm going to charge the same set on another set-up and see what happens.

The LiPo was charged in a very safe place, could have blown up and caught fire if it wanted to without harm to the surroundings.

Thanks for the help.

I'm guessing here: the pack was charged in an hr or so , but just didn't turn off for some reason.

Remember by definition 2 amps = 2000 mah (in 1 hr)

Yes, thats about what I was asking in the beginning, the pack was charged at 2.0 through a balancer and took 16+ hours and discharged in under a minute. I then removed the balancer and it was charged in 1 hour and a bit. The pack discharged in... just under a minute. So I borrowed another battery pack and that discharged in 8 minutes. I then recharged it through the same set-up without the balance and it took 1 hour and a bit and discharged again in 8 minutes. I'm guessing the batteries are duff. Next step is to use the balance. I have a feeling all will be well there again. Guess its process of elimination and process of buying-more-batteries. Hurray!
