Default charging lipo batteries

Hi, I'm new to electric flight and I'm very confused about charging lipo. I've read NEVER CHARGE A LIPO THROUGH THE TO ESC LEAD, but on my Triton EQ charger's manual there's a picture showing a lipo connected through both ESCand balancing leads for charging. Can anybody help me out here?

Welcome to RCU. As packs get larger and currents get higher the majority of the charge is done thru the main lead. The other is used only for balancing. With the Triton EQ the main lead must always be used (normally)

Thank you very much for your help. Do you mean I should connect both (main and balance leads)to my triton when I'm charging, orONLY main lead?

Either way works with the EQ. The main lead is always required. The balance lead is optional. If you want to balance and/or read individual cell voltages then the balance lead needs used.
