LiPo for Cobalt 400
I am looking for the optimum LiPo for my Combat Wings XE2. It has the Global Cobalt 400 motor with the 5 in. Guenther prop. The batteries I am currently using are the 9.6v 1100mah and 1500 mah nicads. I would like to at least match the good power and extend the relatively short run times of the current setup. Would something like a Kokam 2-cell 3270 have enough juice, or should I go with a 3-cell? All suggestions are welcome!

James,
I would try two of the 2-cell Kokam 1500HC packs in parallel. You can buy them on-line at [link=http://www.hobby-lobby.com/kokam.htm]Hobby Lobby[/link] and either wire them together or get one of the parallel connector modules and cut it down for 2 packs instead of 5.
This would give you 24amps continuous current delivery (more than you need) and a 3000mAh capacity at about 8oz in weight.
Good luck!
