Sky Scooter Pro 2 battery
I have a Sky Scooter Pro 2.
Not getting enought time on stock battery.
I have heard of people using Radio Shack 9.6 1600 battery. I bought one but found the batteries are oriented different then the standard battery, the RS are laid out parollell to the airplane rather than the perpendicular orientation of the standard batteries. The RS batteries are also thicker and require some pressure to wedge them into the battery slot.
I am wondering if I got the correct Radio Shack battery.
Should I open up the slot so it is not such a tight fit?
Are there better battery solutions than the above.

Must be the wrong battery. The 1600 I have from radio shack fit perfectly and the cells have the same orientation. It is a vast improvement over the stock.

I have checked the Radio Shack web page and they only show the battery, which I have that has 4 batteries accross arranged in tandum with 4 others, this is different than the stock batteries that come with the scooter which are 7 arranged side by side.
Do you have a Radio Shack part number or something I can reference.

NiMh
You are right about the orientation, 4 across from each other.
It is a good fit. Slightly wider. I cut the cavity all the way through to accommodate torque roll.

The radio shack battery is pretty good. I got better batteries from EBAY. Search "nimh." You will find better and much cheaper batteries. If this auction is still up, try item # 3170876793. 2 batteries and 1 slow charger for $20
