Look at the manufacturer's specs and FOLLOW them! Otherwise, exceed them as you wish, but pay the consequences! Lipoly batteries come with recommended discharge ratings (6C, 8C etc) - heed them well.

Cheers, Phil

Yes, all LiPoly batteries will come with discharge rates as part of their specifications. If you don't find that information listed with the pack when you go to buy it, don't buy it. There are certainly less-than-honest people out there trying to milk the LiPoly cash cow by selling substandard cells with no specifications.

Discharge rates will be listed in terms of C. C is a term you need to be VERY familiar with. In short, C is the capacity of the cell converted to Amps. For example, C for a 1200mAh cell is 1.2 Amps. A 1200mAh LiPoly with a 5C continuous discharge rating can produce 6 Amps.
