Can HS-55 servos be used with 8.4 volt pack?

Can HS-55 servos be used with 8.4 volt pack?
I got them for a park flyer and the specs say 4.8- 6 volt range will an 8.4 NiMh pack be bad,or will everything last ok and not burn up ? thanks

I assume you are using the 8.4v pack to power an electric motor?
Your battery will plug into a motor controller(ESC) correct? If yes, the ESC drops the voltage going to your receiver/servos down to 5v.

Thanks Sierra! I didn't know the speed control had a reducer in it. my 30 A E-flite controller had no paperwork or destructions with it, I have been a Gas plane and recently Heli buff and now am learning as much as I can about Electrics, I have two parks close by my house, figured that would be close fun when time is limited,
