Need help getting into Electric Flight
Hey Guys
Just getting into Electric powerd Flight and need some advice on a good set-up as far as which chargers and Litium Polymer batterys to use.
Will start out with FF foam planes, Himax outrunner HC2808-0980 and a Phoenix-25 control.
Packs in the three cell and 1200 1500mAh area.
Thanks for any advice!

RE: Need help getting into Electric Flight
Hi Doug,
There are a good many decent LiPo chargers for 1-3 cells under 2000mah. My advice is to think ahead. If you think one day you'll be using packs 4000mah and up (larger 3D/aerobats or scale flyers) you should go for a more powerful charger. Here's my recommendations (my opinions of course, but they work quite well):
Prolux 3834 (around $45)
1-3 cells, 2000mah max charging rate

AstroFlight 109 ($115-130)
1-9 cells, 8000mah max charge rate
These are available for sale at a number of places online and there are lots of good reviews of it. Just Google for info.
These are the ones I use everyday and have had tremendous success with them. Good luck and happy flying.
