i purchased li po on e bay. i just getting in to electric. dont really know what i have.
it is a 14.8 volt 4200 mah battery. case is red decal on it says r&d r/c hecell lithium polymer. opposite side says 1 c charge rate max.does not state what discharge rate should be. any info would be much welcome thank you

Not to state the obvious, but you really should ask these kinds of questions before you buy.
"hecell" gives us a clue. www.edogfight.com sells hecell brand NiMH batteries, and a couple of hecell LiPolys, but not in a 4200mAh pack. None of the hecell packs they sell could be combined to make 4200mAh, either.
The HECELL packs they do sell are rated to 6C discharge, and I would expect yours is the same. 4200mAh at 6C gives you 25.2 Amps.
How many cells in the pack, total? 14.8 Volts means that there are 4 cells in series, so there must be a multiple of 4 cells in the pack. 4, 8, 12, 16...
What do you plan on using this for? The pack's much too large for a park flier. It might be useful in a roughly .30-size glow conversion, in a 3-5 pound plane.
