Default Battery charging question

I am really enjoying electric flight especailly now that I have a good charger for my sub-c nicads and nimh batteries, I have a supernova 250 same as FMA charger. My question is, If I go to 12 or more cells. How can this charger charge more than a 12 volt 10 cell Packs. the charger says it can charge 1 to 25 cells but is hooked up to my truck battery as a power source. I mean 12 cells is 1.2 volts x 12 = 14.4 volts right. Thanks input needed and appreciated.

Also where can I get good deal on 10 cell or 12 cell packs

Default RE: Battery charging question

The chargers have transformers so the output voltage can be higher than the input. So you may have 12 volts in at 14 amps and 24 volts out at 3 amps
For excellent battery prices try http://www.unipros.com and use the "custom pack" button.
