mAh and weight?
Hi all,
Recently I purchased a electrifly 3 cell 1500 mAh 11.1V lipo for my Himax 2015-4166 brushless. After I got it the batt seemed be and kinda heavy so I'm thinking about getting the 3 cell 1200 mAh 11.1v lipo. The 1500 is like 3.77oz while the 1200 is 2.6 oz. My questions are, is it better to sacrifice weight for a longer flight time, and would the 1200 mAh handle this motor? Thanks for any suggestions.

RE: mAh and weight?
The most important question is, will the battery handle the load from the motor and prop? For this, you need a rough idea of how many Amps you're talking about. Then you can go to the battery's specifications and see if it's rated for that much current.
The GP 1200 pack is rated for 10C, and the 1500 pack is rated for 8C IIRC (check the Tower website to make sure). For both packs, that calculates out to 12 Amps. So, you can save a little weight in this case.
