Default Two battery packs for park flyer???

Do we need 2 battery packs for a park flyer???

Do we need one for the rx and for the motor?

What is the typical voltage battery required for the rx and for the motor. I know it depends on the motor size for the volts, but what is typical? I see the 11.1v and 8v. I want to use li-poly. Do I need 2 li-poly batteries per plane???

Thanks

On a parkflyer, the ESC (Electronic Speed Control) supplies power to the receiver and servos via the throttle channel + and - bus. The ESC has an on-board regulator to supply 5v to the receiver and servos right from the flight pack. You only need to worry about one pack to charge per flight.

There is no real typical voltage for a motor. Use the recommended setup for the the power system or the plane.

You might want to eventually buy two batteries, anyway. As you grow into the plane and fly it more often, or especially if any clubs near by you have open fly or fun-fly events, then you'll want to spend more time flying and less time charging. With two or more batteries, you can be flying while the other is charging.
