This is advertised as a 3C cell (first gen), which means you can only get 5.5A out of it. You really need a slow or park flyer ...

you can get here a 3S 1800 ma, 8C (around 15A capable) for 30$ (no charger) + shipping (low).

Thank you. Have you used these batteries?

So you double the "c" number and that will be the rated amps?

Yes you can order from them they even have a Pay Pal account, When you place a order they will Emial there Pay Pal invoice to you and shipping is only about $3-4 bucks
These are not the high priced 10-12 C batteries but are well worth the money, I have tested one.

That is in how you want to use them, You will not get as high of amp draw per mAh as you will NIMH but you can run a higher amount of mAh per weight factor.

That I really don't know. but I have tested the 1800 mAh from same suppler listed above and you can draw 12.5 amps without pushing the battery to hard. The question is how many amps does your set up draw.

If you want thar kind of amp draw tou will have to go with a larger pack or set up two packs as 3S2P at or above 4500 to 5000 mAh
How many kan 1050 are you running

that 3s 1800 mah lipo looks like a great deal at $30..wow...it weighs less then 4ozs too....you say they seem to work/hold up well??..ive been wanting to take the plunge into lipos..and that pack may be what makes me decide to do it..how long does shipping usually take??...id be using it on a sky-scooter pro2..with a himaxx 2812-1080..drawing about 12 amps max..which that battery could more then handle if the specs are right...

The 1800 that I tested were the ones before the newer ones that they have and it would handle 12 amps with no problem. The temp got up to 118 deg F which is not bad, They say the limit is around 140 deg F Plus it held a good voltage at that rate. It took about five days to get them. I dont know if they all do but mine came with taps also.

taps???..im sorry..but im new to lipos...but anyways,,in your opinon they eprform as good as other lipos??..they certainly are the best priced lipos ive seen in 3s-high mahs...I have a hobbico mk2 charher..which ive read only charges lipos to 90% capacity..so I assume this should ease my mind a bit about overcharging,,destryoing the lipos when charging them...

Default RE: 11.1v li-ion 1800 mAh+charger for $40

I guess I would have to solder deans conenctor to it...is that as simple to do as with nimh packs??.or are there precautions I need to take??..and when I recieve the pack..can I just charge it immediatley??..or do I need to check the voltage of the pack/each cell..or discharge prior to use/??...thanks for all the help...im just a slightly worried lipo newbie..double checking I dont do anyhting wrong once I recieve the pack...

I have the MKII charger. GREAT product. only one problem. Its only charges lipos up to 1.0 amps. takes about 2 hours for a 2100 to charge

Default RE: 11.1v li-ion 1800 mAh+charger for $40

that would be fine with me..if I buy 2 of those pack..I figure flight time will be new 20 minutes each pack...the only thing that im now thinking that sux is I have 3 new cbp 1650 nimh packs..and to use the lipos..id have to set my phoenix 25amp esc to cutoff at 9volts..which means I could use my nimhs at all in the plane since they require a 5volt cutoff... unless I constanty was changing the settings on the phoenix..which might be a real pain..ecspecially since I dont have the usb connecotr...and would have to make the changes using the stick of the tx..

Now do not mistake what I have said, These are in my opion good batteries for the price but they are not the 10-12-15 C rated packs that you pay $80.00 to $100 bucks for.

if the handle 12 amps without overheating and terrible voltage drop..they would more then suit my need..in fact they sound as though they perform betteer then the kokam 3s-1500 packs...as far as amps they can discharge..

If you have the newer ESC and a link cable I think that you can update it to read the voltage of battery and automatic set to the right voltage cut off, I know it will do it for Lipo but don't know if it will di it with NIMH

Default RE: 11.1v li-ion 1800 mAh+charger for $40

WOW..it can be set to automatically know the correct cutofff for a lipos..and then when I used nimhs..it would cutoff for them too..with out me having to go in and phsyically change the parameters??...if this is true..I wonder if it can be set to do this via the joystick of the tx..or if it has to be done soley via the usb special connector,,which I dont have..
