Default Can I charge a 3S1P pack with the apache 2030 charger?

I am new to lipos and recently bought an apache 2030 multi charger which is rated 1-3 cells (11.1V) for lipoly batteries.

I was wondering if I could charge a 3S1P (11.1V 4-cell pack) with this charger?

In other words, do I have to worry about the total number of cells (capacity) when charging or do I just need to match the voltage of the pack?

Thanks for your help!

A 3S1P pack is a 3-cell pack...

3S means 3 cells in series. 1P means each of those "cells" is just a single cell, not 2 or more cells in parallel. A 3S2P pack would have 3 cells in series, where each "cell" is really two cells in parallel (for a total of six cells). The "S" number is what will determine if you can use that charger or not... any 1S, 2S, or 3S pack will work...

Thanks, saves me some money as I don't have to buy a new charger.

Here's a little mnemonic I use to remember what "3S1P" means:

"Sells (cells) in Series. Packs in Parallel."

A 3S1P pack is made up of 3S, or 3-cell packs, and there is only one pack. Go to 3S2P, and it's 3-cell packs, two packs in parallel.

...Although, the individual cells are really connnected in parallel, and then the series connection of them is made... but I'm nitpicking here ... whatever works for you guys...
